The John Innes Centre (JIC) is a non-profit research institute and company limited by guarantee, which specializes in plant and microbial research. JIC's blend of research spans the spectrum from new discoveries in fundamental science to strategic applications to practical outcomes for agriculture and human health. It also undertakes the training of the next generation of scientists at both the pre- and post-doctoral level. JIC has all the facilities necessary for the creation of the multiple constructs that will underpin this project and the containment greenhouse facilities required for their plant-based transient expression in N. benthamiana.
