Leaf Expression Systems Ltd, is headquartered in Norwich, UK and is a translational R&D and contract manufacturing business focussed on the plant expression of biological molecules and secondary metabolites, for use in medical, pharmaceutical and agrochemical applications. The Company operates a purpose-built, pilot scale manufacturing facility, which will be utilized by Pharma-Factory.

Key people

Dr Nicholas Holton - Research and Development Manager.Nick graduated from the University of Otago with a PhD in Biochemistry. He has extensive postdoctoral experience working on the biochemistry and function of plant membrane receptors and has also worked for many years with Agrobacterium and Nicotiana species. Nick joined Leaf Expression Systems in February 2017.

Dr Franziska Kellner - Plant Research Scientist.
Franziska graduated with a degree in Horticulture from the HTW Dresden (Germany) and has obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of East Anglia / John Innes Centre, Norwich. She gained skills in both academic and industrial plant research environments having extensive experience in plant genetics, microbiology and crop plant research. Franziska joined LES in January 2017.
